Makes you want to just sit quietly and smell the flowers, doesn't it? Visit "Garvin Gardens" in Hot Springs, AR and you can do just that. It's a wonderful garden full of native and rare flowers, trees, herbs, etc. Owned and operated by the University of Arkansas and located alongside Lake Catherine, Garvin Gardens is open year round. There are millions (and I mean millions!) of bulbs planted and they seem to bloom right on schedule. In the Fall, you see mums in huge mounds. Butterflies are everywhere and you can even bring your dog with you for a nice walk. One of the neatest things here is a Glass and Timber Chapel where weddings are booked months in advance. There is also an area for a wedding reception. Almost every time we visit, we see a bride-to-be having professional photo's taken in the open areas where shadows and flowers create breathtaking photographs.
