Both of my sons love to eat steak! So, it came as no surprise when Nick named his new puppy "PORTER" ....for Porterhouse Steak!
"Porter" is a Brindle Boxer and will be a year old in the Spring of 2011. He is fun-loving, plays well with other dogs, and tries very hard not to get into trouble.
Lately, he has been bringing large sticks through the dog door and then completely distroying them all over our new wood floors and furniture. (Bad Porter!) Then, there are the soft nudges and kisses (not to mention the wonderful hugs) he loves to lavish on me. (Good Porter!)
I think what makes Porter so interesting is his nose. It is a very light blush shade of pink with large freckles. I thought he would outgrow them but they appear to going no where soon.

Hi Laura, Your portrait is wonderful and I love your viewpoint and how you cropped Porter. Best wishes on your health recovery and for many wonderful years of painting yet to come. I do see how acyrlic varnish can bring the painting to a whole new accessable touch level. As in - Center front on the coffeetable! Love your portraits!
Laura Grisham replied:
Kathy, you are so sweet! And you are right...I ASK people to touch my paintings. There is something special about being allowed to do so...a connection or something. I'm tickled that you like my portraits. Hopefully, each one I do is better than the one before. Stay in touch! Laura

Hey new comers! Isn't this expression amazing! And how subtle and doggie the colors! You are in for a special treat here, in the whole collection. Most of all I want to encourage you to open each item to its larger version because it's worth it just to read the brilliant stories Laura writes with humor and often education information (for me at least)! Peace, etc., Bruce
