Artist's Description

Sasha is believed to be a BORDER COLLIE mixed breed. She is loved and cherished by our good friends, Drew & Jill Steed, of Conway, AR.
Sasha was created from an e-mailed photo. Everyone who has seen this painting absolutely loves it and immediately falls in love with the dog! Although she is mostly black and white in color, I added shades of violet and blue to add personality and shape to the painting. The background is actually a celery-type color and brings much wanted attention to her face and expression.
Creating personal pet portraits has become the joy and light of my life. I find myself at night looking forward to rising early to begin painting. Each dog is a new challenge and brings new delight. The owners are delighted to see their dogs personality on canvas and I am thrilled to see the joy in their eyes! I think I have finally found my place in the art world.

Although it broke my heart, I chose music and dance. You see, those areas received much more attention, and as an insecure young teenager that was one thing I strongly desired! However, deep...
