Description
Hailey is the second dog I have painted for this client. Her first was "Chloe" the Pug. Can you imagine living with a Boxer and a Pug? Things probably get very interesting at Vicki's house at times.
Haley was fairly easy for me to do because I, too, live with a Boxer! They have their own way of staring into your eyes as if they are really listening or not understanding a word you are saying! Haley has that look!
Although the original is not quite so vivid, I was able to enhance the colors for those who would like to order a print. And, I might add, my husband REALLY likes this one and he doesn't give out compliments very often!

We allowed our "Hailey Storm" to join God yesterday. Our precious boxer was suffering from complications of Canine Cushings disease. We could no longer watch her suffer & wither away. She passed in my arms while I was telling her how much we loved her and what a wonderful companion she had been. I promised her I would bury in our garden right next to the mint she so loved to smell. Hailey delighted us everyday with her warm slurppy kisses & loving personality. She knew how to melt your heart! As she looks down upon us, from her Laura Grisham portrait hanging above our fireplace, my heart warms to have been blessed with Hailey. Thank you Laura for capturing our Hailey on canvas and thank you God for intrusting Hailey in our care during her time on your Earth. RIP Hailey Storm Stasko 07/05/04 - 01/21/13

What a cutie! This captures the essence of a boxer. I got boxer when I was six and my sister has a boxer now and I think this captures that "boxer" personality very well.

I think because I love my son's dog, Porter, so much (yes, he's a boxer...with a black

Oh my, our precious Hailey is awesome! Just opened this present today & could not be more excited! We have "big dog" - "little dog", Hailey & Chloe'. Both portraits are now hanging over our kitchen fireplace, looking down - watching over us. As I look deeply into Hailey's eyes, her personality seems to come alive. Laura, what wonderful work you do! Can't wait for family & friends to see our "baby girls" hanging on the wall together. You have truly out done yourself with our dogs portraits!
Laura Grisham replied:
And your kind words have blessed my heart and give me courage and strength to keep doing what I'm doing. One day I hope that we get the chance to meet in person, or at least enjoy a phone conversation. And, by the way, Chloe and Hailey were a pleasure to paint.

My jaw dropped! She is going to have a heart attack from excitement when she sees this! All those beautiful colours are right up her alley! Oh it is so beautiful! Chloe was for Vicki's birthday and Hailey is for Christmas - best presents ever! You don't think Vicki's spoiled do you? ;)
Laura Grisham replied:
Naw..Vicki's not spoiled. But I think Chloe and Hailey are! Glad you're so pleased with the painting. It makes my heart smile : )
