How to make your own Spring using DUCK TAPE:
1. Get on U-Tube & look up directions (you won't be inspired....sigh)
2. Decide what flower you want to try to make.
3. Drive all over town looking for the Dukt Tape you will need.
4. Buy decent pens with caps or, to make large flowers, bamboo skewers.
5. Gather scissors, x-acto knife, glue, ribbon, florist tape and permanent marker.
6. Get creative and figure out how to do this on your own!
*Seriously, I watched a few demonstrations on U-Tube and saw that all of the flowers they were making were roses and they all pretty much looked the same. Most even had pointed petals! I decided to make up my own way of creating flowers that weren't demonstrated...and it's been a lot of fun. Narcissus are very fast and easy to do: I made a dozen pens in just over an hour. I have also made a large Sunflower on a bamboo skewer, a Peony, and will be making Roses, Tiger Lilly's, Cala Lilly's, and Daisies in the near future. I've got lots of duck tape to use up!
As for the photo...my Narcissus are beginning to bloom, so I just went out with a bunch of my flower pens and poked them around the natural stems and shot away! Personally, I think they look real...but I am from the South where duct tape reigns supreme and girls make dresses from it to attend prom!

Thanks again, FIRST STAR ART, for featuring "DuctTape Spring" in the LOVING VAN GOGH group. I'm sure Vincent would have gotten a chuckle from this piece!

Thanks, Chrisann! I made some Blue Poppies and white Cala Lilly's today on bamboo skewers. They look great to me and I hope to post photo's soon.
