Artist's Description
"Purple Vase" is my husband's favorite painting. Until is sold,we had it hanging in our entry way so that it was prominent to all who entered and left our home. He has agreed to let me sell the original and we will then order a print. This is a very large painting with very bold color. Please notice the use of complementary colors: red roses on a green background, orange peaches in a blue bowl, and a purple vase with metalic gold accents.
*THE ORIGINAL IS PART OF THE PRIVATE ART COLLECTION OF
DREW AND JILL STEED, CONWAY, AR.
About Laura Grisham
As a child you could often find me quietly "painting by numbers" in my room. More often than not, my paintings were not exactly like those pictured on the box because I loved to change the numbers/colors around. Although I won awards for my artwork in elementary school I never really believed in my heart I was a real artist. I thought that "real artists" could draw anything from memory, and that was a gift I did not have. When reaching the upper grades we had to choose among our electives. Music...Art...or Dance Team? You guys are just too sweet to me! This was Kevin's favorite painting but he was excited when I sold it to some very good friends of ours in Conway, AR. That way he still gets to see it every time we visit them!! Oh, and I love the metallic swirls and the texture too...it was one of my first large paintings & I painted it as a demonstration for my students...all 125+ of them!!!

Well, well, Laura, I had to pull this up and look at it big so I could really check out the detail here. What lovely golden circles, loops, curves and interest you've added to not only the gorgeously vibrant purple vase but around the flowers making them into a cluster of beauty on top of a masterpiece. The textures are to die for and I just love, love this one. FAV/Vote!!
