During my most recent visit to the MAYO CLINIC in Rochester, MN my husband and I came across this newly displayed vase. The colors changed as you moved around it...especially on the flat surfaces. We thought it was beautiful and decided to memorialize it into a photo. I wish I knew who the artist was who created this masterpiece, however, either we did not notice or it was not yet posted.
As a child you could often find me quietly "painting by numbers" in my room. More often than not, my paintings were not exactly like those pictured on the box because I loved to change the numbers/colors around. Although I won awards for my artwork in elementary school I never really believed in my heart I was a real artist. I thought that "real artists" could draw anything from memory, and that was a gift I did not have. When reaching the upper grades we had to choose among our electives. Music...Art...or Dance Team? Although I went to the Mayo Clinic in hope of a diagnosis, my husband and I have enjoyed the art and achitecture tremendously! The Chihuly glass that is on permanent display is beyond words...if you ever get a chance, GO!!
