People have always teased me a bit for being gullible and naive. This used to embarrass me because I thought they meant that I was stupid! But now I know that God protected my eyes and ears from things that could hurt my heart. As I hear about the role models our children have today and listen to the words of the music they love I am thankful that God allowed me to grow up in a time that was somewhat more innocent. How desperately we need to not only guard our own hearts but to also protect our children from the unclean images and words that they are bombarded with on a daily basis.
The age old saying "what comes in is what goes out" is more true today than it ever has been. So, be careful what you let inside your mind and heart. Decide what you want others to see and keep your mind set on spiritual things. Guard your heart and meditate on things that are good and pure so that your life will reflect the heart of Jesus.

Thanks, Carla! I love the floral/paisley background on this one...it was a risky decision since I'd never used decorative paper this particular way before. Now I know it works!
