Bruce...you are a true character! I enjoy your comments so very much and giggle each time I read them. Yes, Freda did always elongate her neck...and yes I did see your painting where you did the same. In fact, if I could elongate my neck, enhance my chin, and plump up my lips as in this "self portrait", I would do so in a heartbeat! Alas, it cannot be. I have yet to win the lottery. As for the hair...isn't it fun? My hair was short then and I would just "mess" with it. It actually didn't LOOK like that but it was red with highlights and I just enhanced it in my painting. Isn't that what makes art so much fun? You can change anything you want...color, shape, form, etc. Now, quit apologizing "Richard" and go put that fabulous paint brush of yours to work! Laura

My kind of girl (note my neck 's length in my self-portrait with cats Head shot. By the way, my neck length there results from painting Frida Kaelo with me and some of our animals. If you recall, in all of her numerous self-portraits that I know of, she gave herself this long neck). Please forgive me for rambling on about myself on your page like an old man, Laura. Actually, it is the mouth of this jolly young woman that makes "it" for me, and her nutty hair! All so fun and nifty! Uh, oh! I just read your note and learned that this is a self-portrait! Oh, my!
