Description
I hope you get the "pun" in this painting of a Bloodhound and the title given to it. When my mother tore a picture of a Bloodhound from an ad in a magazine or catalog, I immediately was drawn to the regal, "up-ity", better-than-you attitude he seemed to have. We often refer to wealthy people...those who have had money in their families for many years, as "bluebloods". Sometimes they seem to have that same snotty attitude...and that is where the "pun" come in to play!
You will notice that there are scatches in the painting. These were caused by showing the peice in art shows and various other venues. My paintings are durable and protected, but this one just received a little damage along the way. I think it adds charm and a little more value to the peice.
Due to the scratches, I felt I needed to repair it. That is harder to do than it looks! So, BLUEBLOOD I became BLUEBLOOD II. Which also means that this painting is only available in print form.
I hope you enjoy the painting and the pun as much as I do!

Thanks so much, Rona! I love this one too. It's so different from my other dog portraits.

Kind of reminds me of the Mona Lisa for some reason! ;)
Laura Grisham replied:
I wonder how DaVinci would feel about that comment! Personally, I completely understand where you're coming from!
